The Rt35/I-64 Interchange Project is a highway project located in Putnam County, West Virginia, near Teays Valley. The project includes building 4.75 miles of a two and four-Lane highway on US 35, along with associated access roads and ramps. This project is the southeastern terminus of Rt 35. Major items of work include clearing, erosion control, excavation of 2,354,778 cubic yards of soil and rock, storm drainage, reinforced earth retaining walls, paving, and landscaping. Environmental aspects of this project are significant, and includes installation of many new types of environmental restoration technologies. When Rt 35 is completed, travel from Winfield to Ohio, and points beyond, will be greatly improved and significantly safer.
