This project was located in Mt. Storm, WV. This project consisted of construction of a roller compacted concrete (RCC) buttress adjacent to the downstream of the existing MT. storm dam spillway flip bucket. The project was required to restore support for the flip bucket, which had been removed by erosion.
Major work items include:
1. Mobilization and demobilization.
2. Erosion and sediment control measures.
3. Dewatering and water control.
4. Clearing and grubbing.
5. Stripping and stockpiling topsoil.
6. Soil and rock excavation.
7. Fill Placement including random and rock materials.
8. Vegetated (Type I) ditches.
9. Rip rap armored (Type II) ditches.
10. Base stone aggregate roadway surface.
11. Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) buttress construction and internal drain.
12. Spreading topsoil, seeding and mulching.
